Kahnawake Sports Complex

Constructed in 1987, the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex is an arena comprised of an ice surface/rink indoors, multi-purpose (soccer, lacrosse and football) fields outdoors and a playground. From May until August the ice is removed and the venue is used primarily for lacrosse, ball hockey and special events.

The Kahnawake Sports Complex is enjoyed by athletes, schools, participants in recreational activities and individuals who use the walking track around the playing surface for training, health and rehabilitation purposes.

The Kahnawake Sports Complex has a seating capacity of 3,500, (standing room 4,000) and a luxurious NHL sized ice surface.

In addition the venue houses offices, a Snack Bar, a Pro-Shop (complete with skate sharpener,) a fully equipped First Aid Room, a Press Box and a series of Dressing Rooms. The washrooms are handicap accessible and there is a ramp at the front doors.

The Kahnawake Sports Complex is proud to have supported climate change reduction environmental initiatives several years before the law changed. In addition to an ice plant that does not use freon or any other greenhouse gases, the Kahnawake Sports Complex houses solar panels and reclaims part of our energy to heat the arena.

The venue has played host to a wide variety of programming:  concerts, national tournaments, Mixed Martial Arts championships, car shows, circuses, conferences, skill clinics trade shows and festivals over the years.

The Kahnawake Sports Complex is available for rental year round for everything from pick up (shinny) hockey games to concerts. Interested parties are urged to contact the office for more details.
